Toowoomba World Environment Day

Sharon, Steven and Scot at the Birdlife table

June 4th was UN World Environment Day and we had a popular table at the event.

The threat of rain prompted the organisers to move the event from Lake Annand to Rangeville State School, but this made no difference to the attendance and it was a very busy and successful day, with our table well attended.

It was very pleasing to meet a huge number of people interested in local birds.

Scot had also been invited to give a speech, which he focused on the need to get land clearing protections in place in the TRC area.
